To provide delegates with the knowledge to select appropriate work at height equipment for a task, correctly locate and safely use ladders and stepladders, and inspect ladders and stepladders for damage.
Delegates will also be provided with an understanding of current relevant legislation in order to be able to thoroughly inspect ladders and stepladders, identifying safety critical faults and to record equipment details and inspections as outlined in PUWER.
Ladder Association courses are recognised by The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as the leading safety training when working with Ladders. For further information please download ‘LA455 Safe Use of Ladders and Stepladders – a brief guide’ which is the new guidance jointly produced by the Ladder Association and the HSE.
