IPAF Push Around Vertical (PAV) Operator Course FAQs
About IPAF
About the Course
- The 3A category covers mobile vertical lifts (scissor lifts), which move straight up and down.
- The 3B category covers mobile boom lifts (cherry pickers), which can extend both up and out for greater reach.
- PAVs are manually moved platforms that lift vertically only. Unlike 3a or 3b machines, they have no powered drive which is why they are called Push Around Verticals. They're often used for low-level indoor work on firm, even surfaces.
