Prerequisites:
No formal qualifications or experience are necessary, but it would be beneficial for delegates to have a basic understanding of work at height issues.
On the day:
Failure to arrive before the specified course start time may result in delegates being refused entry, if you are going to be late on the day please call us as soon as possible on 0345 766 7799.
Please note we are unable to refund the cost of a course which is missed due to absence or lateness. Please ensure that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the course to avoid disappointment.
Since the safe use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP) requires that you consult safety notices and read and thoroughly understand the manufacturer’s instruction manual, literacy and language comprehension are important requirements for any MEWP user.
If you have any problems with literacy or language comprehension, or have any doubts about your fitness to use of MEWPs, you are requested to declare this at least 24 hours prior to the course. This need not preclude you from the course, provided your employer conducts an assessment and is able to put into place adequate measures, to take account of any difficulties you may have.
Delegates are required to bring:
Clothing that is comfortable and suitable to undertake practical activities, protective footwear and a hi-vis vest / jacket.
A full body harness and a fully adjustable restraint lanyard are also required, however, the trainer can supply these for use on the course if required.
All the PPE listed above are mandatory requirements. Please do not attend the course without the required PPE. If you need assistance in sourcing PPE prior to your training, please contact our team on 0345 605 0006.
