This course will include the following topics:
- The consequences of poor load control.
- Understanding the basic theory and forces involved in achieving safe and legal load control.
- The legislation and regulations that apply to commercial vehicles when using load restraint equipment.
- Correct selection, care, and use of a wide variety of restraint equipment together with pre-use checks.
The course is intended for professional HGV drivers and transport managers that want to take the guesswork out of securing a load safely and understand their legal responsibilities for transporting a load on UK highways. This course will count 7 hours towards your mandatory 35 learning hours that you require for the DQC.
