This course provides delegates with the knowledge and understanding to work safely in high voltage environments as well as perform limited switching operations in electrical substations and switch rooms. This course provides delegates with the skills to perform limited switching duties on high voltage switch gear and issue limited safety documents i.e isolation documents. Delegates will also learn to monitor the performance/condition of the system in a safe and competent manner.
This course does not qualify delegates to issue permits for work, sanctions for testing etc as these are carried out by senior authorised persons.

Delegates attending this course should be an electrical engineer or technician with prior electrical experience, ideally in the use and operation of high voltage systems, power systems and their associated cables.
