- HV switchgear operation and maintenance.
- HV sub-station equipment and operation and maintenance.
- HV ring and radial system operation.
- Issue of permits, sanctions and limitations of access.
- Operating records and documentation.
- Types of protection.
- Types and applications of HV protective devices.
- Electricity standby supplies.
- Cable location and identification.
- Testing/commissioning of HV electrical distribution equipment.
- Grading of protection.
This course is aimed at delegates who are suitably experienced mechanical and electrical personnel who have been nominated for appointment as authorised persons high voltage with respect to high voltage distribution systems.
During this course, delegates complete practical exercises that involve the management, application and control of documentation.
Learners are continually assessed, both in written and practical exercises, and there are opportunities to work with a wide range of equipment that will support their knowledge in the field.
