This course is intended to assess and formally recognise the skills, knowledge and experience required to work in an occupational supervisory role.
We aim to help delegates achieve the NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision, which is the recognised qualification route for applying for a CSCS Gold Supervisor Card. Delegates will be assessed against the relevant occupational standards using evidence from their existing work and experience.
Achieving the qualification does not automatically guarantee competence in every aspect of a supervisory role or the issue of a CSCS card. Delegates must also meet the relevant CSCS requirements, including passing the appropriate CITB Health, Safety and Environment test.

- Delegates will be provided with Knowledge Packs that they may complete in their own time; identifying the delegate’s current knowledge and skill set.
- Following Completion of the Knowledge Packs, the Practical Observation will begin. This will be on the learner’s site, and may include visits from your assessor who will observe you working and offer support. Delegates may also be asked to record observations on camera for review by the assessor, on practical elements such as pre-shift and operation checks on the machinery.
- There will then be a collection of Witness Testimonies (from site Supervisor’s / Manager’s etc.) and Additional Evidence by the assessor.
- Finally, a one-to-one Professional Discussion will take place between the assessor and the delegate.
Those who are working in a supervisory role within their industry, ideally with access to undertake the NVQ on their own site.
