The aim of this
course is to provide delegates with the skills and knowledge to meet their
obligations within their organisation as the Responsible Person and the legal responsibilities
identified in current legislation.
Through a combination of theoretical lessons and practical exercises, delegates will be better prepared to ensure a safe environment for all occupants of their buildings as well as aiming to have a comprehensive understanding of fire safety protocols and the confidence to act decisively in emergency situations.
Develop or reinforce knowledge of:
· Legal requirements identified in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) order 2005.· Fire risk assessment.
· Fire safety measures, precautions, and fire safety policy.
· Reducing the risk and spread of fire.
· Managing the means of escape.
· Fire doors.
· Safety signs and emergency lighting.
· Firefighting and detection equipment and maintenance.
· Procedures in the event of a fire.
· Employee training.
· Record keeping.
This course is aimed at delegates who are involved or nominated as the Fire Safety Responsible Person within a building or premise. It is designed to develop or reinforce delegates knowledge of the current legislation and compliance required.

Upon successful completion of the Responsible Person Fire Course, delegates will receive a City & Guilds Accredited Programme Certificate valid for 3 years.
