This course is split into two modules Vulnerable road users and Vehicle and personal safety.
The ‘Vulnerable Road Users’ module is designed to educate drivers on the different types of vulnerable road users and the steps they can take to protect them. Upon completion of this course, delegates will have a clear understanding of who vulnerable road users are, helping them stay alert and aware of individuals to watch out for when operating a vehicle.
The ‘Vehicle and Personal Safety’ module is designed to give drivers the knowledge they require to effectively look after their vehicles and themselves. In this course, delegates will learn the key techniques used to reduce the risk of serious harm to them and their vehicle.

- Vulnerable Road User responsibilities
Vehicle and Personal Safety:
- Personal safety
- Keeping yourself safe and fit to drive
- Smuggling & personal allowances
- Driver and passenger safety
- Personal safety when carrying dangerous goods
- Vehicle security
- Keeping your vehicle and load secure
- Preventing clandestine entrants
This course is aimed at those looking to obtain their Driver Qualification Card (DQC). This course will count 7 hours towards your mandatory 35 learning hours that you require for the DQC. This course is suitable for those who hold either a HGV or PCV license.

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will be presented with a printable certificate of competence that will last 5 years. To obtain your Driver Qualification Card (DQC), you must complete 35 hours worth of driver CPC modules.
Once you have completed all 35 hours of CPC modules, DVLA will issue your card automatically.
