This course is split into two modules On Road Occurrences and Road Traffic Laws.
The 'On Road Occurrences' module aims to raise awareness of potential situations that may arise while on the road and equips delegates with strategies to address these effectively by understanding their causes.
The 'Road Traffic Laws' module provides delegates with a comprehensive understanding of road traffic regulations and the various rules that must be adhered to while driving.
This course contains two modules and includes the following topics:
On-road Occurrences:
- Dealing with accidents and emergencies
- Personal safety and security
- Dealing with roadside conflict and road-related stress
- How to handle a roadside check
Road Traffic Laws:
- The ‘who’s who’ of road traffic law
- The Highway Code
- Driving licenses: entitlements, renewals, and offence codes
- The Operator Licence and the Operators Compliance Risk Score
- Vehicle safety, weights, and dimensions
This course is aimed at those looking to obtain their Driver Qualification Card (DQC). This course will count 7 hours towards your mandatory 35 learning hours that you require for the DQC. This course is suitable for those who hold either a HGV or PCV license.

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will be
presented with a printable certificate of competence that will last 5 years. To
obtain your Driver Qualification Card (DQC), you must complete 35 hours worth
of driver CPC modules.
Once you have completed all 35 hours of CPC modules, DVLA will issue your card automatically.
