Completing the e-learning alone does not qualify you as an operator; industry standards require both the knowledge gained in the e-learning theory session and assessed operation of the equipment to demonstrate proficiency. Once you have completed the e-learning, you must also complete the practical assessment and testing at one of our HSS Training IPAF-Approved centres to obtain a PAL Card (Powered Access Licensed-Registration).
To check that your device will support the IPAF E-learning please click here.
To take advantage of this, please follow the below steps:
- Complete the theory e-learning module which can be done anytime, anywhere and on any device, at a pace which suits the individual delegate.
(Compatible with PCs, Macs, tablets and smartphones on any modern internet browser) - Once you have completed the e-learning and successfully passed, please contact us again to book your practical training at one of our IPAF-approved centres - to do this you will need your unique reference number which will be shown on your ‘receipt of completion’ generated at the end of your e-learning.
Delegates are required to attend an HSS Training IPAF-approved training centre within 90 days of completing the e-learning module to sit their theory exam and undertake practical training and assessment (Due to Covid-19 this has been temporarily increased this to 90 days). - You will need to bring a copy of your ‘receipt of completion’ to the course for the trainer to verify, without this you will be refused entry.
- Upon entry to the course, you will be asked to complete an open book multiple choice questionnaire which is based on the knowledge gained from the e-learning, this will be followed by a practical training and assessment session lasting a minimum of 4 hours, however this is dependent upon knowledge and experience of using MEWPs.
- Get in touch with us on 0345 605 0006 to book - at this time you will be charged the full course cost.
- Please note: Both the e-learning and practical modules must be completed within 6 months of the date of booking
