Course Details

Product number: SW10242

This course provides recertification training for experienced IPAF MEWP Operators through the use of Virtual Reality (VR) simulations to refresh their knowledge in a range of situations and environments.

This IPAF Virtual Reality course provides training in the use of one powered access product - Mobile Boom (3b).

Using a Virtual Reality Simulator, delegates can refresh their knowledge in a diverse range of situations.

Each VR simulator and headset includes replica equipment controls and movement, creating a fully immersive and realistic experience within a risk free and controlled environment.

This cutting edge training method removes the risk of hazards, allowing delegates to make mistakes, evaluate and learn without the safety implications involved in live training.

VR is at the forefront of modern technology making it the safest, most simple and cost effective way to re-train whilst reducing carbon emissions by avoiding unnecessary use of powered access equipment.

For those requiring training for 6 or more delegates this course can be completed on your premises. To discuss onsite training options please contact us today on 0345 766 7799 or email trainingadmin@hss.com.

This attracts a CITB Short Course Duration Grant at Tier 2, with a value of £70. Please see the Grants and Funding tab for further information.

Delivery of MEWP VR Simulator:

The simulator will arrive in a small, short-wheel-based van and can be unloaded without issues. Sites will be required to allow the van close access to onsite and a parking space for the van while training is undertaken.

Movement of Simulator:

The simulator will be fitted with wheels after removal from the van and can be moved easily by a single person. The ground between the delivery area and entrance of the site must be flat and solid to allow the movement of the Simulator.
