Our industry leading IPAF course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate powered access equipment. This course is designed for operators working in higher risk and challenging environments.
We schedule this course in the evening to ensure minimum disruption to your delegates' work schedules. The course consists of a practical test and theory exam.
IPAF categories covered - Mobile Vertical (3a) + Mobile Boom (3b).
IPAF ePAL
IPAF have digitised PAL Cards with the new ePAL app, available to both new and existing operators. This replaces the need for paper and plastic documents and licenses with operators’ qualifications and experience easily recorded, stored and shared.
Operators can download the app for free to Apple iOS and Android devices and use it to view and access their digital PAL Cards, logbooks and IPAF safety guides.
HSS Training will be offering the following new IPAF Licence application options:
- IPAF Digital PAL Card Licence Application (ePAL) - this will be the new default licence application and the cost is included in the price of the course
- IPAF Physical PAL Card Licence Application (Printed PAL Card) – this will include ePAL with a printed PAL Card and Certificate
- If required add the item “ Printed PAL Card and Certificate “ to your basket - additional cost £7.50
On successful completion of both the theory and practical sessions, a certificate in lieu will be sent by email.

Those who need to use only one category of powered access equipment should attend the Single Category course - Scissor Lift (3a) / Boom Lift (3b).
