Description

This course refreshes operative’s knowledge and understanding of asbestos removal procedures. Updates are given regarding any changes to legislation and working practices. Training in accordance with Regulation 10 of Control of Asbestos regulations 2006 and HSE Training Guidance Chapter 4.

Pre-Qualification:

Candidates must have previously worked asbestos removal operatives preferably for at least 12 months continuous and have been trained as asbestos operatives within the 12 months leading up to this course.

Educational Objectives:

The student should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the methods of working with asbestos in accordance with HSE guidance Chapter 4 Training for Employees, Supervisors & Others Working with Asbestos-Containing Materials.

Examination:

Two multi-choice question papers will be undertaken over the duration of the course. Certification will be issued by NATAS once the course is successfully completed. This information will be recorded on the NATAS training database.

Certification:

NATAS Asbestos Operative Refresher (valid 12 months legislated).
